COSTUMING
CPAS strives to bring to life the experience of Star Wars. We want our audience to be transported to a galaxy far, far away. A big part of that 'living experience' is the amazing costumes and distinct style of the Star Wars universe. Costuming is a big part of the CPAS presentation and so we work hard to have movie quality costumes.

Being an LFL recognized fan group, we are called at times to attend events alongside other costuming groups such as the Rebel Legion and the 501st Legion. We have members that are part of both groups, and understand the high standard necessary to be able to stand beside them and look like we just stepped out of the screen as well!

The Jedi and Sith costumes are not that far apart in design. Most contain certain basic components as seen in the prequel trilogy, Episodes I - III. This is the main canonical representation we have of the Jedi in their prime. Tunics, tabards and obi abound! The Sith costume basic isn't that far from that. The main difference is color - in the short amount of time we're on stage, you want a distinct line between the light side and the dark side for the audience to recognize. Color helps identity this quickly.

'Face' characters are always welcome! Striving to create a face character always takes more time and effort to match up to what you see on screen, but the results definitely is an exciting, recognizable character. Whether it's Rey, Kylo Ren, Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi (all costumed by our members!), we want to bring that level of authenticity to our performances.

Your journey to becoming a Jedi starts with joining us. We have mentors that will help you find your 'look' you're going for, source parts and materials and put you into our 'costume cycle' which will result in you having a movie quality, performance ready costume!
